Why are lists good for getting traffic to your blog?

There are so many ways that you can get traffic to your blog. You can pay for traffic to your blog or you can get it for free through many sources. One effect way you can get more traffic to your blog is to use a list. Here are some reasons why lists are useful for getting traffic to your blog:

Lists are easy to scan through: As we all know, many online users are very lazy. Using a list can make it easier for your readers to navigate through some main points on a topic.

Lists look very neat: Lists are nicely formatted and easy to read. They don’t look messy.

Lists are easy to link to: Since a list is a summary of a topic’s main points, they are very easy to link to.

Lists can be comprehensive: They can give you all of the most important facts about a topic.

Lists can be persuasive: Since lists can highlight the major points of a topic, they can sway someone’s opinion on a certain subject or topic.

Lists can add to the ease of writing: Lists are easy to write so they are easy to follow. I always like to read lists because of their simplicity.

So as you can see, using lists on your blog can be very useful. The reasons I have stated above are the reasons why lists are useful. But you have to make sure you use lists in an effective way in your blog so that you can get as much traffic to your blog as possible.

Custom vs. Premade Blog Templates

Deciding on which type of blog theme or template to use for your blog can be a very difficult choice to make. You can either invest in a custom template or theme or you can use a free or premade template for your blog. There are factors you should consider when deciding whether to use a custom or premade blog template.

Here are some factors to consider:

Premade Blog Templates

Pros
They are free!! Everyone doesn’t mind getting something for free.

There is a wide selection to choose from. If you have a popular blogging platform like Blogger or Wordpress, you will be able to find a suitable template without a problem.

There are always new templates out there. Web designers are always creating new templates so there are always fresh templates to choose from or to switch to.

Cons
They are not unique. Other bloggers may be using the same template that you are. Who wants to see the same template on every blog?

The best templates are used by everyone. There are only a select amount of templates out there that everyone wants. If this is the case, again, you will see so many blogs using the same template. This gets boring after awhile.

Custom Blog Templates

Pros
They are very unique. People will not have the same template as you do because you can have your template customized any way you want.

Helps you stand out from the rest. Having a customized blog template will help people remember your blog. They will keep returning to your blog which is a very good thing.

Customized templates are usually much attractive. Designers put more effort into their custom templates rather than the free ones. They make them look more appealing to bloggers.

Cons
Custom templates can be expensive. I have seen custom templates range anywhere from $200 to about $4000. I don’t know who would pay $4000 for a custom template but there are bloggers out there who would. I am sure most bloggers stick to the lower amount. This is really the only con when deciding to choose a custom template though.
